Miranda, Trillian, Meebo, Ebuddy are all applications that run instead of the Big 4 IM applications (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, Google). The Big 4 IM apps provide tremendous functionality, including voice, video, cell/SMS, and many more features, so why replace them. MyIMZone provides a service that enhances and actually requires the usage of the Big 4 IM systems, so we don't want you to replace your favorite IM client, we just help people reach you on them.

4. What about security?
   
   MyIMZone provides three levels of protection for its users. The first is a dynamic image check that is part of the Communications URL which prevents spammers. The second is the ability for users to enable Join Confirmation, which provides an initial join confirmation notice at the start of the chat session, asking if you wish to join the chat session with the MyIMZone visitor. If you refuse to join the chat session, the visitor will not be able to send you any messages and the session will be closed. The third security feature available is an optional password protection of the MyIMZone Communications URL. Users can choose to password protect their Communications URL which prevents anyone from accessing the page without the password. Users can also provide a password hint to help those that may have forgotten the password.
